Chapter 3
After waking to birds singing and colourful flowers gently swaying around their campsite, Lulu and Moo climbed onto the motorcycle, ready for another exciting day.

The road twisted and turned through huge grey, speckled mountains, climbing higher and higher until they reached an incredible 6,500 feet above the sea.
“Wow!” gasped Lulu, peeking through the windscreen. “Everything looks so tiny from up here!”
The mountains stretched as far as they could see and the warm Spanish sunshine made the whole world sparkle. They zipped around bend after bend, giggling as the motorcycle leaned smoothly from side to side.
“I LOVE these twisty roads!” Moo laughed. “It feels like we’re flying!”

Soon they stopped at the perfect place for a picnic. They shared juicy fruit, fresh bread and drank lots of cool water while gazing at the magnificent mountain views.
Just as they were finishing, a small herd of cows wandered slowly along the road. Moo’s eyes grew wide with delight.

“My cousins!” Moo cheered, waving enthusiastically.
Behind them came a few gentle horses, who nodded politely as they passed. Lulu and Moo waved happily until they disappeared around the bend.
When it was time to leave, Moo suddenly stopped.
“Oh no…” Moo gasped sadly. “My bead necklace is missing!”
Lulu looked around carefully. “Don’t worry. We can figure this out together.”
The friends started searching beside the road, under little bushes and through patches of colourful wildflowers. Just as they were beginning to wonder if it had been lost forever, one of the friendly horses they had seen earlier gave a little neigh and nudged its nose towards the grass.
There, glistening in the sunshine, lay Moo’s colourful bead necklace!
“They found it!” laughed Lulu.

“Thank you!” Moo called to the horse, carefully putting the necklace back around his
neck. “I’ll make sure it stays on this time.”
With happy hearts, full tummies and another wonderful adventure behind them, Lulu and Moo climbed back onto the motorcycle, ready to discover what tomorrow’s winding mountain roads would bring.
